So last weekend I celebrated my birthday in Las Vegas with my Mom. This may sound like a bad place to take your Mom to… but then mine is a little bit of a party animal.
(In fact, she won over $700 on a penny machine – watch the last part of the video below to see how she does it)
And since all my clients asked me the same questions about my trip…
(are you going to drink in Vegas? Are you going to eat bad in Vegas? Surely you’re not going to work out in Vegas? Are you going to pump your fist in Vegas??)
.. I decided to document everything I did on the video below (…most of it)

From the whole weekend I learned that everyone HAS to get out once in a while. It puts things into perspective when you come back, and when you’re recharged you go back to work much harder than before. Whether on your fitness goals, or even your career. Plus if you really let go of yourself on vacation you’ll be more inclined to ‘make up for it’ during your normal daily life
But of course the calories that happen in Vegas, don’t stay in Vegas. Calories and marriages.
So hey, this blog is still under construction, but if you liked this post, or if you want to learn how to ‘beam’ the penny machine so that you too can win big – simply leave a comment below!

Michael- I am going to Vegas in a few weeks and this was helpful. I learned — workout and eat right before you go. Play hard while there but eat right. Fajitas are a good choice with corn tortillas. Drink water — lots of water. Oh, and play the penny machines and do arm exercises while playing. Your Mom is hilarious!! I love her.

Hi Cheryl – you’re absolutely right, work hard & play even harder… that makes the work much easier to get through.
Look forward to seeing you in bootcamp soon!
And Sonia, yes this friday my Mom will be there… at the head of the table, ordering her steak extra ‘rare’ .
And to tell you the truth, that airplane ride made me a little nautious… so I didn’t eat that much.
(Never eat those Greens bars 5 minutes before take-off)
